Activated Charcoal for Growing weed

Most cannabis growers work with the normal tools, but did you know that activated charcoal can be the tool that you need. This is something that can help in your growing room, and along the joint tips.  Here, is what activated charcoal can do for you.

What is it?

This is basically something that people mistake for actual charcoal, but they are not the same.  However, it’s super porous, very absorbent, and it binds to various ions, molecules, and atoms, removing them from the substance dissolves. This is also known as activated carbon. This is an odorless, fine, black power, and it’s got properties that are toxin absorbing, used in many cases for medical, industrial, and domestic purposes. This does include filtering out pollutants in water, removing odors, and other such benefits, abut do keep in mind they are not proven scientifically.

You can get these in the form of filters, in order to keep various odors from seeping out into the growing medium, and it can help keep it from also getting the smell out to neighbors who might be a bit nosey. It uses adsorption in their filters which basically means that they take the pollutants out of that in this fashion. That’s because the reaction of the chemicals do cause this t to get into the structure of the pores of the charcoal, so it will have the contaminants stick out there rather than inside like how they do with normal absorption means.

Uses for growing

This is something that’s really great for growers, since it can help get rid of the smells in the grow room, along with any emissions, and also keeps away pets which aren’t wanted. They do this to ensure that you’re getting the best, freshest air possible when you engage in growing. There are neutralizing sprays, purifiers, gels, sprays, and even powders which hide the sell, but they don’t get the odor out completely, and it won’t get rid of all of the particles that are there. The problem with the gels and sprays is that they are scented strongly, and I can impact the flavor and terpenes.

It’s best if you decide to use these, to ensure that you have the filter attached to ducts and fans, so that it can be filtering out the particles and circulating the air, pulling the particles as they show up into and through the filter as well. All of the spores, molecules, various allergens, and other contaminants are definitely absorbed in this way, and it then, is pushed out through a tent, so that there isn’t any signs of emissions, or even odors as well.

If you get this, you definitely want to make sure that you do upkeep this, since this is something that can get messy over time. it’s pretty easy to maintain this though, and only requires monthly cleanings. To clean this, you want to take the filter out of the grow room, shake it, so that the dust and the debris is able to get out of there, and then, just upkeep all of this. They can be changed every year or year and a half, depending on their ability to work, and how effective they are.

You can also get smoking filters too, which is good for you to get rid of any gasses that are there.

Activated charcoal is something that more growers should consider using. It’s something that’s almost miraculous, and the impact this can have on growing and how it removes the toxins is definitely something to look at if you want to enhance your growing.
