All about Cannabis Concentrates

Did you know that there is another day called 710? We’ve heard of 420, but 710 is known as dab day, falling on July 10th and is a day that celebrates the use of cannabis concentrates. For new medical users, you may not know the benefits of this. However, let’s go over a little bit about what it is, and how 710 day came about.

How 710 Day Existed

The origin of the name of this literally spells oil, such as waxes and dabs, and it’s something that a lot of people wait to so they can consume the oil products during then. It’s actually know as the younger sibling of 420. This came from a Tiny Chat where taskrok, a rapper wsa discussing with some people and having a dab session with some people in the community. Now that we know this, we’ll discuss a little bit about concentrates, why they matter, and what they are.

What Concentrates are

Basically, concentrates are anything that have higher amounts of THC and other kinds of cannabinoids. They’re made through the trichomes extraction, and this contains terpenes, cannabinoids, and so much more. They usually are full-spectrum, but sometimes you can refine these down to make something that’s broad-spectrum. This is commonly called an isolate, and it is something that people will use if they don’t want all of the parts of this.

But full-spectrum concentrates are what a lot of people look for, for the sole reason of they’re synergistic when they are combined, creating this entourage effect. It’s more impactful medically than typically using an isolate.

You can consume concentrates in many ways, including the following:

  • Vaping
  • Dabbing
  • Eating edibles

So what is Dabbing?

Dabbing is one f the best ways to consume this, because it’s very potent. Basically, you take the concentrate, place this on a surface that’s extremely hot, and then you inhale it. You typically use oil rigs, which involve water pipes to help with this. It’s incredibly hot, getting the temperature to up to 600 degrees Fahrenheit, and it’s something that’s commonly used to enhance the dabbing experience.

This is much more potent than the average cannabis product that you consume, and it’s something that definitely offers the most THC lung availability out there. If you’re going to consume it like this, you should always be mindful of what you’re doing, and try to make sure that you understand a little bit goes a long way with this.

What to Look for

This is pretty easy to use, but you may want to look for something that doesn’t use solvent in the extraction. Most of these concentrates will use ethanol, which is strong, but the problem is for those who don’t have the strongest lung capacity, it can be very harsh. You should go for something that contains supercritical carbon dioxide extraction, which is basically a safer way for you to derive these concentrates, using CO2 as a type of solvent, and the fluid from this helps to create a safer way for you to consume these derivatives.

Another thing to be mindful for is to look for the cutting agent for those who have allergies. MCT oil is something that’s commonly used. Some people who have immune conditions should avoid MCT oil because it can trigger the response to this. While it does offer an immune response that’s beneficial in some ways, it can cause anaphylaxis, which is something that you should be mindful of. Remember as well, a little bit goes a long way with this, so don’t go too crazy either.
