There are two kinds of edibles that some people get. There is hash, and there are weed edibles. Usually, there are a few differences, and depending on the type that you consume, some can be more potent than others.
What’s Hash Edibles
Hashish, or hash, is basically kief, which is the resin that’s compressed directly from cannabis, and looks like a brown brick that’s crumbly. They usually have higher amounts of THC and are usually more potent when they get compacted fully together. They work just like any other kind of edible, but they tend to work a little bit faster due to the more concentrated nature of this.
This is best for:
- Good that are baked
- Desserts
- Cannabutter
- Candies or gummies
This one does come with benefits, especially since it’s got a lot of THC in it. It’s got pain that’s neuropathic and chronic benefits to it. It helps with sleep issues and insomnia, will stimulate the appetite that you have, help to calm you down when you’re anxious, and also reduces nausea and vomiting in most cases. This is one that also can be a bit too potent for the average user. Some people tend to green out because of this, and it can make you paranoid, vomit, and also nauseous as well.
Some experts do also say that it may also cause you to get addicted or dependent on it.
Some people also may struggle with the sudden blood pressure changes due to hash edibles.
The biggest downside to this too, is that the places to source it also vary, and if you don’t want to have butane or even propane in your edibles, avoid sourcing it from solventless types of solutions.
Weed Edibles
These are directly from the marijuana plant, and usually come in brownies, cookies, and other kinds of different baked goods that are out there. These typically get ingested and start to work around 30 or so minutes in. Depending on the amount that’s there, and the type, they might work faster or slower, depending on the effects of such.

Weed is not ideal for all edibles, but for cookies, brownies, and cakes, this is great.
This is one that also comes with the same benefits you get from hash, due to the THC in it, but depending on the amounts, it’s not as effective. The drawbacks are again, similar to how hash is. You might green out, overdose, and also you might get paranoid, nauseous, and vomit as well. They also may cause dependance as well, and potential addiction if you consume this in larger amounts.
The Similarities and differences
Both of these contain varying amounts of THC to it, and they also might come with a variety of different benefits that come with this. Hash, however, will come with larger concentrations in most cases of the THC that a person wants from the edibles that they consume.
Hash also might have more risks, as they are much higher in this concentration, so it might not work for you.
Hash also can be added to a lot more, but weed edibles are a whole lot more limited compared to this.

Look into both of these, and if you’re someone that needs more THC and a whole lot faster than hash is going to be the better option. But if you’re looking to snot green out, then you might want to get weed edibles, as they’re not as strong, and also limit the chances for dependencies as well, especially if prone to that kind of thing too.
